Gastric Bypass Surgery…Is It Safe?
Gastric bypass surgery and liposuction are two ways of taking short cuts to lose weight through the use of elective, invasive surgical procedures. Gastric bypass surgery makes the stomach smaller and allows for food to bypass part of the intestines, making you feel full more quickly, killing your appetite, and forcing you to eat less, in order to get you to lose weight and maintain it quickly. Liposuction, on the other hand, is the surgical removal of fat from your midsection. Both of these methods are artificial means of solving your weight loss problem and are not without their inherent risks of permanent side effects and complications. These should really only be considered if you have tried and exhausted every possible means to lose weight through the natural means of diet and exercise.
